A groundbreaking ceremony took place Wednesday, May 18, 2016, for the 150,000 sq. ft. cooler addition to the existing freezer building at 4802 Femrite Drive.
The existing building is 172,285 sq. ft. and opened in 2010. The expansion will allow Fitchburg, Wis.-based Certco, Inc. to increase its natural, organic, specialty and refrigerated offerings to independent supermarkets in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois and Iowa.
The anticipated completion date is November 2016.
“This is an exciting time for Certco,” President and CEO Randy Simon said.
