Madison-based grocery distributor Certco, Inc. continues to work with suppliers towards the cage-free egg initiative. Animal welfare is a priority for the industry and this initiative helps support this cause.
Certco currently carries a wide variety of organic, free-range, pasture-raised, and cage-free eggs for our independent retailers. As of 2022, approximately 40% of the eggs distributed by Certco are cage-free.
Certco, founded in 1930, distributes more than 60,000 items to over 220 independent stores throughout Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, and Iowa.
